I know there is a 1978 S&W holster catalog posted hereon the forum but the Model 44 pancake was not shown. I believe the holster was available in the 1970's at some point. Does anyone have a copy of a late 1960's or early 1970's S&W holster catalog that could help? Thank you in advance.

Surely someone does. The easy answer is that the pancake genre was patented circa 1972 and did not exist prior; and took the industry by storm. Every maker rushed to create a product of their own that didnt infringe; not hard because Bakers patent was very narrowly drawn. So earliest mid 70s.

Default 1970

Not in the holster section of the 1970 S&W catalog. The holster section may not be a complete listing of all available holsters.

The size guide is really hard to scan with the orange background.

The 2 part jpg is the same as the single pdf file.
