Default Alessi Holster Maker Stamp

Trying to determine approximate age of an Alessi holster that is just stamped with the name Alessi rather than the current large 'a' logo. Does anyone know when the Alessi maker stamp changed? Thanks

I have Alessi's "Talon" IWB holster.
It has the big a with the circle around it and simply says:
Alessi
Holsters, Inc.
Buffalo, N.Y.
It was made by Lou himself. I talked with him on the phone
a couple of times. This was 2 or 3 years before he passed away.
He passed in February 2009. So the big a logo has been used
for at least 10 years I would say. Your holster must be older
than that? I think it is the son-in-law and daughter running it
now. Could they have shortened it to simply Alessi?

I have an ankle holster that Mr. Alessi made for me in roughly 1999. It has the same logo that CrazyPhil speaks of.

He had made two for me, one for a Glock 26 and the other for a 642. Still have the 642 one. Gave the other away to a friend who liked to carry his 26 that way and still uses it. Both made around the same time.

I still remember calling and speaking to him and thinking wow you don't find service and/or craftsman like that, even then. "Send me a check and I will start work on it", and before long it was here.

Yes the Alessi marking with the big 'a' with a circle around it is the most prevalent marking seen on most Alessi holsters. Below is the marking on my holster, just simply Alessi stamped and no other markings on the holster. If anyone knows the timeframe Alessi was marking his holsters this way I would appreciate the information. Thanks

Can't provide a time frame but the stamp you've picture is an earlier one that predates the stylized "Big A" one currently still in use. I have a few marked like yours and each is an older holster design no longer produced.
