I always like to defer to turnerriver on Myres and Heiser dating. But. It is believed that Myres holsters that include the word TEX on the second line of the maker's mark are the earliest of the two marks. And of course because of "El Paso" are post-Sweetwater, so after 1920 and this Threepersons holster was introduced 1931; and until perhaps the mid-50s (I have an image of a Myres Border Holster that is also marked Python which was introduced 1955) after Sam died. It's also possible that the later, smaller mark is associated with the sale of the trademark in 1966.

Ultimately the later mark is substantially smaller and so may have been created to be used on smaller items; yet when sets are found they seem to be paired (old/old and new/new) which suggests to me that they are different eras.

The holsters that don't look quite in the Myres tradition, always have the smaller "no tex" stamp on them. Notably a Berns-Martin copy that I've only seen one of and was not catalogued. I've one with a Dan Wesson marking for a model introduced early 1970s. It appears that when the company changed hands two more times in the '70s that only the mark was sold, the machinery going to Bob McNellis' 1978 startup of a company he called El Paso Saddlery (according to him, not the original company closed 1902).

The actual stamps (there were three including one with the company's 1936 patent) once were owned by McNellis, and currently are owned by Mike Barranti.

That holster resembles some of the holsters that S.D. Myres made for FBI agents back in the day. It was apparently made for the Colt Official Police revolver and possibly made for a law officer that could not afford the floral carving.

Any suggestions as to who could do the re-stitching?

There were no Colt Official Police revolvers until 1927 so it was made
after that year.

BTW an S&W K Frame with adjustable rear sight, like a model 19,
will fit just as well as the OP. Lawrence, for example, uses the
same size number for both.

Stitching: I have had re-stitching done at a local saddle shop.
The lady gets all the stitches in the same holes as original.
Very reasonable also.
