What the trash Alien Gear.
So I got a new belt and thought I would be better served with belt loops for my holster rather than the clips. So I ordered some, and this is what arrived today. One button won't snap no matter how hard I try, and when the other one snapped it came apart. On top of that the plastic is rough and jagged. Looks like a 10 year old with a steak knife could of cut them out better. I called AlienGear and they are sending me new ones. Hopefully they will be serviceable. I was surprised and disappointed by this.

Sounds like the QC department has been replaced by Customers.

AG has grown quickly and may be experiencing some pains as a result of that growth. I've got three of their holsters and a complete set of adapters for various belt style wear and had zero problems with any of their products.
Also, I hate when people disparage companies that put out a serviceable product by saying "you get what you pay for". Pardon me if I think a serviceable holster for $40 is FAR better than a serviceable one for $150. I'd rather save that money and use it for something else when the product does the job, and in the case of my AG holsters - does so very well indeed.

In my experience (I have three) Alien Gear aren't the "prettiest" holsters, but they are reliable and get the job done. I bet they will make it right.

I also have 3 alien gear holsters and all seem quality built and work fine...Looking forward to their shape shift for the shield 45..
Just saying I have experienced no problems, but I can understand how belt loops can be a problem depending on how old they are.
They will make it right !!!! but face it belt loops is not their first priority.

In all fairness, they may not even be made in house. Rather those belt loops may be ordered from an outside vendor.
Probably made in China.
There's no excuse for them failing. It doesn't take long to test a snap before packaging it for shipment whether they're made in house or not.

I love the holster. If you look at a lot of the other hybrid holsters they are made of a cheap slab of kydex that can be formed by anybody in their mothers toaster oven. The alien gear is a very solid, functional and adjustable holster for the price, and I wear it every day.
That is why I was so baffled by these belt loops. To their credit they are sending me new ones, and didn't ask for the old ones back. That is pretty solid customer service. I just hope the new ones are going to be usable.

My experience with AG is that they have gone beyond what I would have expected to provide good customer service to me! I also like the Cloak Tuck 3.0 holster with interchangeable shells for different guns very much!

Well they sent me new ones without charging me, and they are worlds better. It seems that it was a fluke. The new ones are exactly what I would expect.
