H.H.HEISER 1416/2 R SHEEPSKIN LINED HOLSTER
The length is 9-1/2 inch with enameled brass snap.
My Colt 32-20 5" Army Special fits in perfectly. It is in very good condition. On the back there is 8.60 written on in ballpoint.
Is this rare and if someone has an educated opinion of the value I would appreciate the help.

Does the snap have an outer circle with Heiser Denver and three H letters intertwined in the center ? If so it was made before WW II. Sheepskin lined holsters are desirable. As with everything collectible condition is key.
It is worth what someone paid for it but I would expect it to bring $75-125 if made for the Colt Army Special.
Regards,
turnerriver

Post up pics so you can get the best analysis :-) For example, pics would have provided the answers turnerriver asked for already.

Wow. I guess I overpaid when I bought Bengalsfan's 6" K frame holster. I don't feel bad about it, since its the only one I've seen in years. It would seem prices are somewhat regional. Or I'm the only fool who is in the market for these oddities.

Dick,
Was the value of silver up or down at the time.......
The price you paid, is the lowest it'll ever be.

Heisers can go for four figures on major auctions. I suspect the valuation given was quite conservative. We would have to see both these holsters to be more reassuring though. And pics don't appear to be forthcoming.

It's a struggle to learn. You won't need to close that window if the window has indicated that your file has uploaded. Instead, go back to your message and click on that paperclip again. You'll be given the option to 'insert all' or singly.
Try it, that's how my image was inserted :-).

Sorry to be a little off the subject, but what is the value of
silver now. I have a dollar with my birth year on it. 1935.
Here's a picture:
