Default Just in Time for Christmas

I ordered a #2 Thumbreak, with fish scale stamping and a military style belt with the Texas buckle from El Paso Saddlery in September. After the allotted time for delivery had run, plus a week or two, I sent an email regarding the status.

Ken of EPS called and advised me that the supplier of the buckle that I had selected had them on backorder. A decision was made to switch to the 1860 Eagle buckle and things were back on track. It still took an additional week but, as I suspected, it was worth the wait.

I wanted a belt that could be used with various holsters and hand guns. The speed loader is not an EPS item but, one that I have had for a while.

Anyway, I am pleased and I think my 629-5 looks great in its new holster. The belt and buckle are, like the holster, top quality and the workmanship is very impressive!

Thanks to Ken and his gang at EPS!

El Paso Saddlery is a great outfit. Years ago, I used a pair of their holsters in Cowboy Action competition. They had a booth at a regional SASS match, and I showed them the lining coming loose in the right hand holster, hoping they might be able to fix it. They gave me two brand new holsters and let me keep the old ones! Customer for life now, despite the long wait for products.

Edit to add: Your rig looks great.

Nice . That's a replica of the US 1851 Sword Belt plate , not an 1860 plate but they were used until well after the War Of Northern Aggression .
