Favorite OWB Leather Holster
I know this may be hard to do, like asking who your favorite child is, but......show us your favorite OWB Leather Holster? If that is too difficult, try your favorite from each different maker. Mine is a S.D. Myres "Ranger Threepersons" model. Here it is:

custom 3-way by my father...
My favorite is a custom holster by my late father... we collaborated on the concept of a straight draw, cross draw and shoulder rig... have one for a K-frame and my 9mm... hope to make my own for L-frame, N-frame & 1911 sometime... included my fathers first holster from a Tandy kit way before I was born...

As you said it's kinda like trying to choose your favorite child, but one
that I am quite fond of is this RSS by Ken Null. Revolver Super Speed.
I believe it is basically from one of Seventrees patterns.
Shown with my Model 10 2" barrel.

Ab fab. Indeed it is a Threepersons holster, inside a Ranger holster fender and cuff. Not catalogued that I know of and v clever. The 666 is also a Threepersons holster, but inside a Brill holster fender and cuff. I would expect the non-Tex marking on the backside.

Hands down, my current favorite was made by forum member “Snubbyfan”....
Absolute work of art. Built for a lifetime.
Custom-made to carry my 19-5 and 66-4 snubs.

Hard to narrow down to one favorite, but this Myres Barton Special for 2" K frame is amongst the top 3 or 4.

I ordered this belt & holster from S.D. Myres when I was a teenager and I still wear it now & then. It's been my favorite for a long time.

It us extremely difficult, if not impossible, to choose a favorite,
especially when I have choices like these, left to right:
Chic Gaylord Combat Speed Scabbard with model 29
Myres 614 T3P holster with model 29
Brill with S&W model 10
Heiser 728 with Colt 1911 Gold Cup
Brill-Persons and Ranger belt by Red Nichols with Colt 1911 Gold Cup

I'm a big fan of the Kramer MSP paddle for OWB. Carries even big platforms like the HK USP or an N frame well, and amazingly concealable for an OWB holster with a large firearm in it.

On the one hand, go with the classics, of which that Gaylord is surely "the most". On the other hand, that one on the right is one of two in the world and the other one's brown; and there won't ever be another of either.

I had a friend who had a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and she had a male
pup learning from her. After witnessing a day of duck hunting, a guy
asked my friend if he would consider selling one of them. He said I'd
maybe take $2,000 for the pup, but she ain't for sale.
That gave me my come-back when asked if my Gaylord or Brill-Persons
is for sale. I say maybe I would take $2,000 for the Gaylord, but the
Brill-Persons ain't for sale.
NOTE: This is not in any way an offer to sell the Gaylord or any other
holster. As mentioned above, I tend to be a keeper.

You are doing good with the photos and the leather MRH. It's hard to
find anything better than Barranti makes.

Mike really thought outside the box with that one. Well done Mike!! Reminiscent of a spur strap. What is the forward face of the trigger guard resting on?

It does remind me of a spur strap, now that you mention it. This is not a welted holster, the sewing line follows/restricts the front of the trigger guard. What really makes it shine in my opinion is the split belt loop, which lets it ride right at my 3:00 and also provides little vertical movement on the belt, so it really anchors the belt to the britches and reduces sag.
The CCR (first picture) and CCP line by Barranti are interesting. I have been carrying a 2.5" 19 in his CCR holster on the ranch for a while. A lot of thought went into that holster line. It has a wide belt loop to spread out the weight and pull the butt into the body. Has a wedge built into the rear of the holster to keep the gun butt tight into the body and also seems to reduce sag. Adjustable tension works fine because I haven't lost the gun yet and I have been doing a lot of feeding cattle with it. I have one of these for a J-frame snub, a K-frame 2-1/2", and a commander 1911 and am extremely pleased with all three.

Well, since I sold my .45 Shield and have gone back to carrying my Glock 30S every day, my favorite OWB is this Yaqui Slide by El Paso Saddlery. It features their Frontier Floral Carving.

After thinking about it a bit, not necessarily my favorite, but the one that
I wear the most is this Black Hills shark skin holster. It rides high for
concealment, and tight to prevent printing. The 642 is only about 15 oz.
so all in all it's a very comfortable (and conforting) rig.

when all is said and done....
It really is a tough choice, that said, I have a lot of gun leather and it really boils down, for me, what do I use the most. The tree holster are my go to units for the guns I carry the most. My Enhanced Pancake for my K snubs and the Enhanced Avenger for my 1911 both made by Roy of Lobo Gun Leather and a Galco for my 640.

Forgive me; I don't mean to hijack the thread, but can someone tell me why older revolver OWB holsters do not have the trigger guard covered?

The fact that you can still wear a belt you bought when you were a teenager means you win the Internet for the day.

My guess is that turnerriver has spent so much of his time
and $ acquiring that gorgeous collection of holsters, that he
has not had time or $ to waste on stuff like food?
