Default Simply Rugged addition

Just got the 1911 holster from the folks at Simply Rugged. It's an addition the the sourdough that I've had for a few years for the model 10. Love their workmanship and customer service. Looking forward to breaking it in. Now, if I could just work on my photography...

Nice. They are working on one for me now. I ordered it last week, so it'll still b a while before I get it. Can't hardly wait. It will be my first from them.

Good luck. I've got two Sourdough Pancakes for my 4" N frames. They are very well made, but the more recent one squeaks like I can't believe and nothing seems to help. After a few weeks of trying to break it in, I finally got sick of it and it's on safe duty now.

Try baby powder wherever it rubs on other leather.

I love those wearing those holsters with their Chesty Puller harness. Most of my woods walking, hunting guns have one. I just swap them around depending on what I want to carry. Comfy and out of the way. Well built too.

I have a bunch of Simply Rugged stuff, belts holsters, speed loader pouches and magazine holders. Never got disappointed. The stuff is simple and rugged, funny how that is.

I did. I think I tried that because you recommended it in another thread!

Sadly, still squeaks constantly.

Have you tried the neutral shoe polish around the belt cut outs?

I haven't tried either of these, but I will. I did try Ren Wax, and it didn't help at all.

Lostaro: which Pitch Blend product - the Leather Dressing or Oil/Conditioner?

Thanks!

Love Simply Rugged.

Purpose-built, practical and rustic. They focus on quality and performance, not looks. I've several. They also smell really good.

I sometimes use Snow Seal boot grease to stop those squeaky rigs.
