S.D. Myres holster & S.D. Myres ? Holster-unmarked holsters
Here is a pair of similar holsters. The one on the right has the Myres logo stamped on the back, the other one doesn't. It does have the number 202 etched on the interior skirt as shown. The model number for the Myres Boot holster is 202, as shown in my 1972 dated catalog. So, I think it's a Myres or I hope it's a Myres or it may even be a Myres but I can't say that for sure. I bought the marked holster several years ago at the Tulsa gun show for hundreds more than I paid for the other one- it was the first example of the model I'd ever seen.
I have unmarked examples of Heiser, Myres and various other holsters, I don't recall ever seeing what I believed was an unmarked Lawrence holster. I imagine most if not all makers of custom to order holsters would leave their logo off if requested, some examples have the logo stamped where it is not readily visible.
I've also seen a number of Heiser marked holsters that I believe are fakes, I have one example- but that's a discussion for another time.

To me the one on the right is a 10. The one on the left is a 5.
The difference in the quality of the two makes me wonder if the
one on the left is a knock off. It doesn't come up to the quality
of Myres such as the one on the right. By itself, it might look good,
but side by side shows it's shortcomings.

The Myres marked holster fits a Colt SAA, I haven’t sized the other one yet. They’re not for sale but thanks for asking.

Got to go with Phil . I can plainly see that they are both the same idea but the execution of the idea is to me not the same . Stitching does not appear to be the same style . Carving is nowhere near the quality of the marked holster and the pattern is quite different although obviously with the intention of imitating the Myres . Different shape at the top of the two and the way the boot is attached is not similar . Could it be the same company but a different era ?

That's a possibility, the presence of the model number could also be instructions for making a knock-off or copy-" make it like a Myres # 202". The noticeable differences in quality are even more apparent when you're holding both of them- although as Phil noted, the lesser one is still a good looking holster.
