Default Kydex Holster Mod/Cutting

I recently purchased a Dara MTO Slick Side AIWB holster for my LCR 38 with CT Laser. They don't make one for the CT and I had to order one with no "cut" for the laser. Consequently, I need to make said "cut" to use the holster. Does anybody have any experience doing such a modification with Kydex (.093" Kydex/Boltaron)? My intention is to use a dremel. However, before I risk destroying my holster I thought I would inquire here as to whether anybody has done such a thing successfully and how they did it. Note I will be cutting an approximately 1 1/4" long by 3/8" wide slot into which the laser can slide.

Never done it, but it seems like it should be pretty straightforward.
Go slow, stop & check the fit often.

I think if I were doing it I'd start with a thin cutoff wheel, and cover the area to be cut in a couple of layers of tape. I'd run the Dremel at medium speed and cut a slot about 3/16" wide down the middle of the area to be removed. Then I'd gradually widen it to the width it needs to be using a burr or rotary file.

Again, go slow and stop to check the fit often.

I did it all with a cutoff wheel. Just came here to report that for individuals who may need to do so in the future. Thanks for your input BC38. I just used the cutoff wheel. Interesting enough I did use masking tape as my guide and that worked well.
