LIKE A RHINESTONE COWBOY
Old Glen is gone a year now, but we still have his music.
I guess I'm kinda the rhinestone cowboy. I gotno rancho,
got no cows, got no horses, but I have some boots and a
couple of hats.
But more to the point of this thread, I have a few cowboy
holsters. Here they are, from left to right:
Lawrence 120 Keith, on Red Nichol's ranger style belt, with
a Sharp's Bowie, and my Stetson. The gun is a Peacemaker
replica.
Bianchi's #1 Lawman on a basket weave belt, with Sharp's
staghorn Bowie, and my Resistol hat. Same gun.
Oklahoma Leather's Mexican Loop holster on a Cowtown
cartridge belt, with Marbles Damascus knife. Same gun.
Oklahoma Leather's Slim Jim holster on Red Nichol's ranger
style belt, Sharp's Bowie, and my Stetson. The gun is my
Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk .44 magnum.
Last, but definately not least, is Red Nichol's #1 proto-type of
Tom Threeperson's personal holster. It, and the ranger belt
were gifts from Red. The knife and sheath are from Buck,
and my Stetson.
I have seen some gorgeous cowboy rigs on here. If you are
a rhinestone cowboy let's see your rigs.

I think Andy Anderson made Clint's holsters for his early
TV show and movies. And I think Alfonso made some a
little later. Do you know who made the "man with no name
holster"? Either of the two I mentioned would be a little
beyond my budget.

Speaking of Glen-
Today’s Parade Magazine’s Cover Story is about the one yesterday anniversity of his passing.
Did you know he played in his Uncle’s band here in Albuquerque?
In 1954 Campbell moved to Albuquerque to join his uncle’s band known as Dick Bills and the Sandia Mountain Boys. He also appeared there on his uncle’s radio show and on K Circle B Time, the local children’s program on KOB television. In 1958 Campbell formed his own band, the Western

I read that article this morning. Good information about Glen
that I never knew. He was just born with natural talent. Great
guitar player from the time he was just a little kid. Pretty fair
singer too.

I had a guy pester me for this Colorado Saddlery rig, he finally made me an offer I couldn’t refuse and I let him have it. One of the prettiest rigs I’ve owned.
Regards,
