RB Bishop Mt Gilead NC
Found this today.
Figured it would make a nice accessory to a Colt Lighting I recently acquired.
Tried to find something on the maker and totally struck out.
Anyone know/heard of them?

I'm not holding out much hope now.
3 of my favorite holsters guys don't know.
I do think that adds to the cool factor

Can tell you that it's modern :-). Makers of period products of course did not use TX, for example, for TEX (dunno how they would've done North Carolina).
Your mates didn't try very hard, though:
Bishop Custom Saddlery - 4TheRide - 4TheRide
I just cut-n-pasted your title and Googled.

Paul those other two gentlemen have forgotten more about holsters than I could ever know.
One thing I am certain of is that fellow has some talent.
Great find!

Sorry chaps, no offense was meant to the (previously) unspecified parties :-).
It's always hard to tell from a forum query about a maker -- are they wanting to find him so they can buy one just like it; to learn his history; to discover its value; to recommend him to others; to punch him in the nose?
P'raps for these kinds of posts, I shouldn't think of them as would a holstorian, and instead just leave the query unanswered as too vague.

Hi Red I just never heard or saw anything about the maker. I bought it because I liked it quite a bit and it fit. There is a vast knowledge base here that I respect and like to learn and know some history if able. Guess that's it.
Communication is "not" a strong point for me.
The first 3 guys that gave likes here know more about leather than I ever will and I totally respect.
I think you do as well and keep commenting on those other threads to help us poor saps in any way you can.
About the way ahead of me and be there tomorrow.
That was a timeline thing some Aussie friends have used
And meant as a joke.
A lot of people don't get my humor.

Red, I don't think he was vague at all. He stated he had just purchased it but knew nothing of the maker. He was just looking for more information. If you didn't know then that would have been a sufficient response. Or maybe no response at all.
