2 new Heisers added to herd
I was able to pick up a couple of pre war Heisers at the Kansas City gun show at the end of July. Both holsters are in beautiful condition. The flap holster is a # 435 for an automation pistol. The seller said for a Woodsman. With the bulge in the body of the holster I knew it was too wide for a Woodsman target. The “ Bullseye” Match Target seemed to fit perfectly. The double loop is a Heiser #1410 I believe. I don’t want to bend the toe too much but from the catalogue I would say a 1410 ( rawhide stitched, sewn in toe plug, optional chamois lining. Bill

I think I see a 6, a 4 or 44 & the letter S on the back of the double loop holster, with the age of that holster I would look for a 1/2 after the 6. I’m guessing it might be etched S&W 44 6 1/2, but that’s just a guess. That flap holster certainly looks like it was made for a Bullseye Match Target. That was a successful gun show .
Regards,
turnerriver

Great holsters: I just recently sold an early Hartford 22 auto that came in a Heiser like the one pictured on the left. They had been together for a long time and I didn't think it would be proper to break them up!

Turnriver, the etching on the back of the holster looks like OM( Officers Model ) SW and 6”. A 6 1/2” K frame fits fine. Bill
