I Need A Holster
I just bought a Smith 686-6 Plus with a 3" barrel. I am looking for an OWB holster for it. I want a leather holster with a break strap to hold it in place. What do you use?

Ask for more than you'll automatically get, which is a brand recommendation. What you really need to know, is what design works best for them.

Doc Barranti can make one like that. He did it for me for a K frame snub.
It is a really good design.
On that gun it is securing a bobbed hammer!

Doug: Look for the website of Lobo Gun Leather. Excellent quality for fair prices.

I use.......
a De Santis, marked 001 over 33.
Made in U.S.A.
The leather is molded for a 6 chamber cylinder, I put a very thin sock over the gun and left it in the holster for some time. (recommended by someone else on this forum) Now after carrying the gun in the holster for a while it it fits well, I'm satisfied w/ it.
The leather doesn't touch the sights at all, the barrel is exactly the length of the leather. (I actually prefer the holster 1/4 in longer than the barrel.)
It rides high enough to be comfortable.
Good luck w/ your search.

on IWB holsters.
