The only ferrous metal that I can find in my vehicles is the engine block.

Looks cool, but also just looks like a bad idea to me. I'm sure it'd make the pistol easy to access in a second or two, but then again, so would just holding it under your leg with its butt sticking out. I'm just not sure I'd trust the magnet(s) to hold it in place when the ATV is bucking rough terrain or (heaven forbid) if you'd roll it. Even more dangerous if the pistol's cocked and locked.
Not sure of the legality of shooting game from an ATV, either.

I have a yamaha grizzly four wheeler and I don't think I would trust any magnet to hold a handgun in place when I'm riding the really rough stuff. I've been trying to devise a way to attach a thumb break or flap holster for my Browning HP but I usually just wear a holster on my belt.

If I recall correctly, it is illegal to mount a gun bracket on an atv in my state.

I have a chest rig for an N-frame that I like to use on my ATV. It has a nice secure thumb snap and it is never out of my control - even if I get off the ATV and walk away. Of course in a crash, landing on it would probably break a few ribs or even possibly fracture my sternum!
