Default Bianchi 7100 AccuMold Holsters

I am looking for a suitable range holster to carry a few of my pistols during competitions. Importantly these competitions all start with the gun in hand held at 45 degrees so there is no requirement to draw the pistol.

I simply want a durable holster to hold my unloaded pistols in between shooting strings and while generally on the range.

(The guns are my .38 S&W Victory revolver, 5.5" Browning Buckmark .22 and Astra Constable .32).

Currently I am considering the Bianchi 7100 AccuMold holsters for all three guns which I can pick up from Midway USA next month for under US$100 for all three.

By comparison a very cheap nylon holster that does not hold its shape will cost me close to that for one holster locally.

Does anyone have any experience/comments on these holsters?

I have a friend who bought one for his Sig SP2009 so he could carry the gun while his custom holsters were being made. The belt loops are molded plastic and cause the gun to stick out, away from your body. It is otherwise well made, just not a concealed carry rig, I believe it was around $23.00 new.

Thanks for the reply. As I said the holders are just for range use, to safely carry the pistols from the safety zone to the firing line and to secure them again while scoring, so conceivability is not an issue.

Hi Kiwi, a few years ago, I changed over from leather uniform equipment to nylon, and I picked up a couple of the Bianchi Accumolds for my duty guns. They held up very well for daily use, so I think you'll be happy with them for competition.

Thanks. Instinct tells me the holsters will do what I require. Due diligence requires I check first .

I have been reluctant to change my remaining leather duty gear (handcuff pouches and torch holder) to nylon. I even tried to keep my leather duty belt but was told I had to change it to the nylon one several years ago. But some time next year we get new stabproof vests with everything held onto the best body with Velcro instead of attached to the duty belt, so the day is coming.

I changed because of a back injury. We adopted a policy that we could switch to nylon duty gear for "regular" patrol (as opposed to bicycle, canine or SWAT when in their special uniforms, etc. who were allowed to use nylon gear for their utility-type assignments) with a doctor's note specifying lightest duty gear possible as a medical necessity. Uniform Supply issued a nylon duty belt with a wide Velcro-attached back brace, and we were responsible for buying the rest. It was interesting how many folks utilized this exemption. BTW, I was injured in 1995 and still suffer the effects.
