Default DOES YOUR HOLSTER NEED A PAINT JOB?

About a month ago I posted a photo of a black basketweave
holster by Eubanks. The original brown was showing through
the black dye on the straps.
Red suggested I get some black laquer leather spray. It was
easy to find on the net, so I ordered a spray can of Brillo brand.
After taking care of the straps I noticed that my black Lawrence
Challenger also had quite a bit of brown showing through the
black dye. So I gave it a paint job.
I also touched up the Myres #624.

Photo on the left is the Eubanks before. After 2nd from left.
Lawrence Challenger before 3rd from left.
Myres #624 and Lawrence Challenger after, 4th from left.

My own personal preference would be for the aged appearance, with the natural color of the leather peeking through. On the other hand, I'm generally not a fan of dyed backgrounds as seen on some of SD Myres examples - as well as on many current day high end classic styled gunleather.

But, I'm really just glad we don't all like the same damned things.
