S.D. Myers with non-registeted magnum
I’ve owned this Myers carved and laced holster for a 4” N frame but I’ve never put my 4” non registered magnum in it until now. It might be a marriage made in heaven. Bill

That is an absolutely positively gorgeous S. D. Myres holster,
and the gun is quite snazzy as well. Your right. It is a marriage
made in Heaven.

Those "aftermarket" grips are really tacky. I'll bring a factory set of S&W Uncle Mikes to Tulsa and will swap you even. BEAUTIFUL GUN and GREAT HOLSTER!! Who was it shipped to?

Bill,
I was wondering if you happened to know what model your holster might be? I have one like it, but never could determine what model it is.

Larry, in checking some of my S.D.Myers catalogues my holster is a #345 which is carved, laced, and elk skin lined with an optional safety strap added. Your holster does not seem to have a recurve for the he trigger. Does your gun ride high like a Three Person holster? I can’t tell if your holster is lined in the creamy colored elkskin. I think your holster might be a #666 with optional lacing and safety strap. Maybe Turnriver can chip in with his expertise. How about it John? Bill

Bill,
You are correct, mine does not have the recurve for the trigger. It does have the creamy colored elkskin lining though. I was thinking it might be a Model 666, but it is lined. Here is a pic showing the lining:

Current thinking is that the 'no TEX' mark accompanied by small ink writing is very late in the game at Myres, early '70s, because other examples are for the Dan Wessons. The Myres company that used that small maker's mark had closed by '76. When the two marks (small and large) re-appeared, it was the 'with TEX' mark that returned and then the business faded away. Barranti makes darned fine versions of the old Myres holsters.
