So I picked up a set of Eagle SS Rosewood Grips for a M649 and I have say that I HATE the way they fit!!!!

The right panel top corner extends out past the back strap, under the trigger guard the gap is not really uniform (purely cosmetic) but it bugs the **** out of me. The bottom corner on the left panel again extends out a little further than the frame.

Im afraid if I continue to use them that the top corner will end of breaking.

Has anyone else had any issues with Eagle Grips?

Have you called them about the fit issue? They're local to me, so I've been in their shop and found them to be really interested in making things right. I think they'll take care of you.

In my experience Eagle Grips are a real **** shoot when it comes to fit. I’ve had a few pairs and they were all terrible - 2 came with guns and the 3rd I bought from Eagle at last year’s NRA conference. Both halves stood proud of the backstrap about a 1/16th of an inch, and the front seam was uneven. Nothing that painters tape, sandpaper and a little Truoil couldn’t fix, but for $70 they should be much closer. Hopefully I’ll have enough self control to not buy another set.

The parts that extend out past the frame are an easy fix.....
painters tape, sandpaper and TrueOil will get you that perfect custom fit you are looking for.
Go slow, take your time and make it right .
I order grips from Ahrend's unfinished and slightly over sized so that I can fit them perfectly and finish them in Tung Oil...it's really an easy thing to do.... and the satisfaction from the fitted and finished grips is worth it.
