Default OWB for Shield

I'm looking for an OWB holster for a Shield 2 that will stop the rear sight from biting me in the side. I'm using a Mitch Rosen Express Line now which does a great job but with no sweat guard the end of the slide and the sight can get very uncomfortable. Any suggestions?

Don't have much experience with OWB, and none with a Shield, but you may want to check out TT Gunleather. I have an IWB holster from them and they customized it by reducing the side shield. They may have OWB holsters with sufficient shielding, and if not they may still be able to accomodate you. Their prices and turnaround times are pretty reasonable, too.

You may also want to check Side Guard Holsters (it's in the name!). Their leather gear is excellent quality at very good prices.

Ryan Grizzle of rgrizzle leather makes a High Country that will do this.

I have a Rosen Upper Limit and went to the Grizzle High Country for the sweat guard. Excellent in every way. Mine is a zero cant to be worn at 3:00. I carry a Shield 9.

Jason Winnie and D.M. Bullard both make this type holster. I carry a 45 Shield and have Jasons in black and Bullards in brown.

I have a TT Gunleather snap on high ride OWB holster for my PC 45 Shield. It’s very comfortable, and will do everything you are asking, at a reasonable price.

This is a MTR Leather Deluxe Slim Pancake with a sweat shield. The holster fits very tight to the body and carries my PC Shield .45 very comfortably. The only drawback is there is sometimes a 4 - 6 weeks wait for the holster although they will occasionally have what you need in stock. If you can wait I highly recommend this holster.
