Looking for recommendations for 686 6in. Cross draw leather
Looking for a good right handed cross draw leather holster. I have a 6 inch S&W 686, and I also have a 617, that I'd like it to fit if possible. I found a Bianchi that I liked, but the reviews said that it didn't really work very well for cross draw. Shame too, because it looked like what I wanted. Although it wasn't listed, I think it might've worked for the 617, as it wasn't heavily molded to fit, and the size of these revolvers is so close. I'd prefer lined, and it's for a 1 1/2 belt. A search hasn't produced much to choose from, so any ideas would be appreciated.

Bianchi 111 Cyclone Cross-draw..... I've got several 21/2"K to 6" L-frame. Been using them as my primary 'field holster" for decades.
The 6" 617 will "kind of " work in the L-frame holster..... not the other way around.

I appreciate the input, and I see it doesn't really list the 617 on the fit chart alongside the 686. It takes a
different holster. Some actually list both. But that's definitely the style I'm looking for. I like the quality of that one. But just like the others that I've looked at. The reviews of the cross draw carry, aren't that good.
Since cross draw is what I'm intending on using. It's for carrying around the property, and I'll be driving my utility vehicle mostly. So I'm thinking cross draw for a 6 inch barrel will be the most comfortable.

You must really like those. So how does it work in the cross draw loop? Especially while sitting?

Another model that seems to fit the bill here is the Galco Phoenix. Would anyone be able to compare them from experience? A 6" 686+ is on my wish list and I too, would consider a cross-draw (that could also be worn strong, when desired).

I'm assuming the sizing is as simple as 4 fits a 4inch and a 6 fits a 6inch
