I've been a bit curious... I consider the 945 the best 1911 platform in my opinion. Some day when I'm a bit older I would like to carry this commander sized 945 OWB...
What would be a good suggestion for a holster company to make what I'm looking for ?
I had to get the 645 S&W as soon as it hit the street I had been waiting 25 years since S&W promised it. The one thing I found out was that 1911 holsters would not work. I bought a LFI rig from Massad Ayoob for the 645 made by Ted Blocker. A few years later I got a chance to buy a 945 but while it shot great it did not quite fit a 1911 holster so I passed on it. I did get a Galco Shoulder Holster that worked with my 645 but it was marked Large Auto rather than 1911.
