Pretty little holster has pretty little gun now.
I got the 1903 model Colt today and as promised took some photos of both the gun and holster.
I ordered a stud for the holster but haven't gotten it yet so that part is still missing. Just in case someone asks the red glow on the one photo is a reflection of the infrared from the camera not rust....

It is good to know I am not the only one to purchase a gun to fit a holster. That sure looks like a good combination.

I thought everybody knew.
You buy the Mag first , then you get a holster that should fit the gun ,,,when you get it. Finally you get the gun ,,,,, then you get a holster that really does fit the gun , and probably some more mags .
Got It.

That's a beautiful holster. I would glue a small piece of suede or thin leather on the inside over the stud once installed so that it doesn't scratch that nice old Colt. I have found a product called Barge cement works well.

Eye candy for sure! The leather is outstanding and it's clear I need to go on patrol to find something similar!
Thanks,

Do you know if it holds up to solvent?? Found it on Amazon but cant figure out if it holds up. Any idea what the shelf life is. I have a problem with such things drying out and becoming unusable??
THANKS. Love that holster

I don't know if Barge cement would hold up to solvent but don't think any gun oil on your pistol would soak through the leather enough to loosen it.
Regarding shelf life, it's probably like caulk. It will dry out and become unusable long before you use anywhere near a whole tube. But the cost to fix the holster will be minimal compared to how irritated you may be if you scratch the gun.
