New to me brand
I came across a new brand, at least to me, of holster while searching for a pancake holster for a CZ83. The brand is Barsony Holsters of Beaverton, Or. I saw it on ebay, and don't know if it is an import or anything about the quality. It doesn't look a "hardy" as some of the other brands, stitching, etc. Anyone have any information on this brand?

Like you, I have seen a lot of them on ebay but never have bought one.
Let us know if it's any good.

I am hesitant to order one, might keep looking for a tad better looking, quality holster. I wish someone like Rodek Leather made a basket weave holster for the CZ83.

That brand just doesn't look like a very well made holster to me. As for the CZ 82/83 I find it hard to believe that there aren't any pancakes out there for these fine pistols.

I bought a Barsony a few years back because I wanted a "blue-collar" cross draw for a J frame snub. It has been functionally "OK", but I wouldn't buy another ( ya get what ya pay for - kind of like a cheap leather belt from Wal-Mart). For just a few bucks more I'd recommend a Hunter, Simply Rugged, or Jackson Leather.

I am not sure what other brand holsters sell for, but I’ve always found Galco holsters to be a quality holster at a fair price. I’ve found several on eBay for much less than MSRP. They only custom holsters I have are from Paul at Warbird Leather. Beautiful holsters and nicely priced.

Which one is pure junk, the Barsony or the Sparks?

The Barsony holsters I have examined seemed to be made of leather that is about as thin as could be used for the purpose. Their designs seem okay, but I have doubts about how long they will retain their shape and remain useable.

Not sure if I could share a link on here, but JT Holsters & Belts is an Oregon company. They make some really nice looking stuff but I have not purchased from them. If anyone else has, I would like to hear your review.

Some of the brands listed above are good quality, and I have a few of them for other pistols or revolvers, it is just the CZ83 that seems to be the ******* child in the senario.
