Default Heiser 758

Thought this was for a SAA but got it home and no. I gave it the try out drill and came up with a mod 13 3" that fit well, leaving a couple inches south of that 3" incher, so by default I think its for a 5" M&P. It's a looker and I wouldn't mind carrying a 4" in it as well. So what do you leather guys think. Not having a 5" (nor a 4") M&P, I'll probably be sending this one down the line. Can't find any hand scratched clues. What era was this made?

Lovely holster!

Heiser typically scratched the gun designation on the back of the holster with a scribe. Sometimes it’s difficult to see. It almost looks like something is scribed below the logo (I think I see an “M”). Look it over closely in different light and post some photos. Often it’s on the opposite side from the logo near the top.

Got it in the sunlight and THINK I can see a mark but can't make it out. Could be a small "O" or maybe the top of a "P", if indeed it is for M&P or police positive.

Charlie,

With a holster that neat, you just need to go ahead and buy a 5" M&P

I’m thinking I see an O & a P as well which would indicate a Colt Official Police. If that K frame is even a little loose in it then the Colt would fit. I’ll check my catalogs but if memory serves which it does less frequently than it used to that model was in the line both pre and post WW II. Nice find Charlie.
Regards,
turnerriver

The model 13 is a tight fit, I don't think an OP would work.
