LETS NOT FORGET GEORGE LAWRENCE
I have more from Lawrence than I do from Myres or Heiser.
I will have to whittle them down to my alloted 5 pictures from
left to right:
The 120 "Keith" model was probably their most successful
single action holster. Mine is shown with a Colt Cavalry replica
with 7.5" barrel.
Another 120 "Keith" with a silver arrowhead to cover up a blem.
4.75 Colt replica. The "Sidewinder" belt was a gift from Red.
34V with smooth cowhide lining and pigskin outer shell, shown
with my Model 10 with 2" barrel. The knife is a Puma Prince.
4th from left is a Lawrence field style holster and cartridge belt
with my Model 10 with 4" barrel. My carry rig when tromping
around in the Boondocks.
I think the model 34 is my favorite, and this one is my favorite
of the model 34s. FBI style, Lawrence called it "extra quick draw"
shown with my Model 19 Combat Magnum.

Colt OMT with a #502 size, #79 model quick draw.
Pre-39 with a #607 size, #1-C model "Challenger."
Trying to get more but get sidetracked or the model I find just isn't what I want.

All very nice, but surely there are more Lawrences out there in S&W Land
somewhere? Dig them out and show them off.

I don't have a picture right now but I purchased a Pre-27 6" made in 1952 that lettered to the day I was born 50 miles south of the factory. The letter stated that the gun was shipped to the George Lawrence Company of Portland, Oregon...
Looked for a Lawrence holster to carry the gun in as it didn't seem anything else would be "correct". After about a year, a new in the package Keith 120 came up for sale on ebay and I bought it... It was even marked for a 6" S&W 357 Magnum not the more common 6.5"...
So the stars must have been aligned...how else can one explain buying a gun that letters to your day of birth and finding a brand new holster that was 20 years old designed by your favorite gun writer that was for your exact model gun from the factory that the gun was shipped to...

Lawrence made their 120 for double actions also. Here's mine ( # 528 for a 6" K target ) with my K-22 in it. It's a nice holster that just seems to go with a 1952 vintage K frame. It doesn't have the sight protector block (wish it did) but otherwise it's one of my favorites.

I really like George Lawrence Holsters but I do not have any beautiful carved holsters, but I do have some that really nice Lawrence holsters.
As a young boy I loved the pictures in Stoeger's Shooter's Bible of the Lawrence Holsters. I has especially interested in the #7 shoulder holster as it was different than the normal but it was not until I got one a few years ago.
The model 100 was a quick draw flap holster that is advertised as for Revolvers only in every catalog or advertisement I have seen but I got this model 100 size 643 for a S&W model 41 with 5.5 Heavy barrel.
One of my favorite Lawrence holsters is the Keith model 120 with a Colt Scout 22 LR

I also have one that was cut down by a previous owner. He did a pretty
decent job of it. Here it is with my Model 29 4" barrel.

You need to dial back holster money and buy some decent head gear.

I have 3 revolvers that shipped to George Lawrence, and I also have 2 holsters. Oh, and a cardboard shipping box with their name on it too.

LAWRENCE 32
Here's a Lawrence that is marked 32 on the back. It fits my 31-1 but it also fits my First Model SA "Baby Russian" in 38S&W and is shown with that firearm.

My GL I picked up for My K22. Only thing is it's for the Outdoorsman, not the Masterpiece. I believe somewhere around 37 - 39. Going to be for sale soon.

Lawrence Model 211 holster
I don't have very many Lawrence holsters. They definitely have the quality of Heiser and Myres holsters. To me, their floral carving is top notch too. I got my first Lawrence holster about 5 years ago. It is a Model 211. On the skirt, under the holster is stamped SA 32.20 5 ½ . From what I understand, at this time, you could order a holster for a certain gun. In this case, it means it will fit a Colt SAA with a 5 ½ inch barrel. And while it will fit any SAA with a 5 1/2 inch barrel, it was ordered for one in caliber .32-20. I am very lucky that my only Colt SAA has a 5 1/2 inch barrel.
This holster has the postwar trademark, and thanks to turnerriver, I know it was made prior to 1952. In 1952 Lawrence changed the way they described their Model numbers. This holster would have been a Model 211LF in 1952, with the L standing for "Laced" and the F for "Floral Carved", instead of just Model 211. So this holster was made sometime from 1945-1952. John also said that almost all Lawrence holsters were made to order, especially the better models. Thanks again for your expertise turnerriver. Here are the pictures:

Hi J. R.,
I have looked through my Holster box and I was a bit surprised to find that of the 5 C-1 Holsters I now have 3 have the Lawrence marked snaps 2 are plain chrome. I have 3 Keith 120 holsters and the one with the Colt Scout shown is the only snap marked. The model 100 and the model 22 have marked snaps, It must be a time line thing. If you were to find a used Lawrence marked stamp making it work would be a problem as the as the cap has a piece that is attached to the cap and has a hollow shaft that goes through the leather and rivets through the top part of the snap. I know almost all things are possible but some are definately not easy.

Lawrence Model 130 Size 576 holster
I have had this holster a little over 4 years, and it is my only black holster. This is a Lawrence Model 130FCLSHD Size 576 holster made to fit a Ruger Blackhawk .357 with 4 5/8 barrel. The Model 130 is Lawrence's version of the Jockstrap style holster. The letters following the model number specifies the ton of options this holster has. The F is for floral carving, the C is for chamois lining, the L is for black Latigo lacing, the S is for a sight protector, the H is for a safety strap, and the D is for the color black dyed. The only thing it might be missing is a leg tie down. The number 576 tells us that the holster is made to fit that particular Ruger revolver. Since the 3 digit size code started about 1963, this holster was made sometime after that. Here are the pictures:

Lawrence Model 9 22A holster
This was my first Lawrence holster and the oldest. I strayed from my normal floral carved collecting because I thought the pre-war dating was interesting. It is a Lawrence Model 9 22A holster. If I have read correctly, it is a pre-war holster based on the makers mark and the type of snap used. The snap is stamped G L C o in the 4 quadrants (for the George Lawrence Company). It is made to fit a .22 auto with a 4 1/2 inch barrel, which was probably a Colt Woodsman. The rope tooling is on both sides of the holster. The mouth of the holster is lace wrapped. Since the lacing is so crude, it is most likely not factory done. For some reason I have not been looking for Lawrence holsters for quite awhile........I need to remedy that.😀 Here are a few pictures:

Lawrence Holster Size Chart
I was looking through my pictures and found this information and thought it may be of interest. I don't know what timeframe it is from, but would guess sometime after 1963. Look at all the available options. I have a gun with 6 options and thought that was a lot, but there are many more. Of course, you can't have them all, for instance, you can't have a holster that is chamois lined and wool skin lined.

Besides the 7 Lawrences I posted previously, I have the following 3,
left to right:
Black, carved Challenger on a Sparks gunbelt, with a Gerber knife,
hosting my S&W Model 10-6 with 4" barrel. Lawrences with the C
prefix are their Challenger line, made with a lighter weight leather.
Size 540 field style holster on a Lawrence cartridge belt, shown with
my Charter Undercover.
My one and only IWB, this model 22 on a Simply Rugged belt,
shown with my S&W 642-1, and Piranha knife.

I can sure see why it's your favorite. It would be my favorite
too if I owned it. Is there any chance you could post a photo
of the back side? I'm wondering if it's a 120 or a 34, and I'm
sure there is a lot of the alphabet with all of those features.
Carved, laced, strap, probably lined?

Phil,
That is one thing I have been wondering. What is the difference between the Model 120 and Model 34 holsters?

Primarily the cut at the top of the holster, here are 2 catalog descriptions.
The 120 has the extra low cut quick trigger . Keith said he designed the 120 for the single action revolver.

Here is a Lawrence 120B on the left with a SAA Colt replica with 7.5" barrel.
On the right is a 34B with S&W model 19 with 4" barrel. Even
looking closely at the cut at the top it is quite difficult to see the difference.
Old Elmer told some pretty good "stories".

Here's another one
Attached are front & rear Photos of a Lawrence for a Mark I Ruger.
The grips are the old conversion grips that gave the Mark I a 1911 profile and feel. The strap is not long enough to go over the grips and has been tucked behind the gun. I keep thinking I'll make a strap extender with 2 snaps to fit over the grip but haven't done it yet.

J. R.,
I dont know if there is any other way to get one than buying a junk Lawrence holster with a snap and harvesting it.

Just got this one.
Pretty sure it goes with a 1911.

No 528 is for a K-22, 32, or 38 Masterpiece, or a Colt Marshall / Official Police 6"
Attached are some Lawrence lists

Thank you. I see the chart but... here is the same holster with my Model 22-4 in it.
I will see how my 1917s fit and also my 5 HD.
