My usual carry is some version of J frame in a TT Gunleather IWB holster, like the KX Lightweight or similar. I occasionally go back to the giant holster box to give something a second or third try. It’s funny how something that didn’t feel right years ago can work the second or third time out.

Today, I tried the Sideguard Minimal Snap. Remembered why it was in the “box.” It’s a well made holster but rides higher than preferred when not sliding around. The snap loop does not secure the holster well, in my opinion. Tossed it back and grabbed the Sideguard Minimal Clip. It is the same holster but with a metal clip in place of the snap loop. Wow. What a difference.

The Sideguard Minumal Clip is slim, sits deep, and the metal clip is quite secure. It puts the grip right along the top of my belt, so no printing. It’s coming out of retirement. I’ll recommend this for anyone else who likes a slim, deep sitting, snubby holster.

Here is my Sideguard Minimal Clip with my Colt's Agent, on the left.
The 2 tone is a Sideguard Quick Clip shown with a little Taurus.
It's on the right. The Quick Clip model has a re-enforced mouth
to make re-holstering easier, and it costs a few bucks more.
In a moment of temporary insanity I sold the Quick Clip.
