Mitch Rosen Holster
I don't see him mentioned much on this forum, but I like Mitch Rosen's CCW holsters, specifically his 5 JR model. Have two, one for my M65 4" and the other for my Colt DS, my EDC. I wear it at about 4:00 or 4:30 with a 1.5" matching belt.
Touched up some of the fingernail scratches for the photos, using a finger tip smudge of Ren wax.
I like that the holster, cowhide, is thin, boned, and has excellent retention without a thumb break. (If memory serves, he sells horsehide to those who insist upon it, but is not an advocate of horsehide. He thinks it's a marketing gimmick.)
Got the pocket knife in the pic there to hold the holster at angle to show the thickness/thinness of the leather. 0.13" per my measurement.
I find it very comfortable, and like how it holds in tight to my body under a T-shirt, shirt or jacket. I've worn it driving for a couple of hours at a stretch, and found it comfortable, too, but that probably has to do with the size of the DS and my body type in addition to the holster.
A couple of years ago I contacted his shop to ask if I could get one for my 4" Colt Trooper — actually a 3-5-7, but why confuse things? — but was told they were no longer making holsters for that model.
In Hawaii I have a Rosen IWB for my 641, the Workman Slimline. If I recall correctly, I bought it in the classifieds here over ten years ago. When I tried it, back then, I found uncomfortable. I've lost some 30 lbs since then, and am curious to see how it feels now.

Mitch's is a great quality holster, I have one of his high end shoulder rigs myself.

Look great. I look for the widely spaced belt loops, especially for a heavier gun. The wide spacing distributes the weight & holds the gun securely.

Mitch Rosen makes excellent holsters. The 5 JR is a great example, it's like the gold standard of pancakes IMO. I even like the Express line. Maybe not as pretty but just as functional. If it's concealed, who cares?

I've got 3 Mitch Rosen rigs and they are of high quality. Even the express line is superior to some "custom" makers.

Rosen makes the holsters that Dillon shows in their little catalog that they
send out every month. If your not on the mailing list, give them a call and
get on it.
Here is a 5JR President that I bought from Dillon quite a few years ago.
I have since given it to my granddaughter along with a gun that fits.

Agreed, his stuff is top of the line. I have one for a 1911 and one for a j-frame that's for sale in classifieds as I sold the gun.

No holster, but I have been wearing a Mitch Rosen belt for about three years now. It's thick and sturdy, and I highly recommend them.
