Vintage holster/gun combos.
I was digging through the pile and noticed a few gun/holster combos that just seemed right for each other.
S&W 32 hand ejector and a Viking holster.
H&R 32 short hammerless and a cut down Bauer Bros.
Iver Johnson Target Sealed 8 and an early patent Bauer Bros.

That is an IRON CLAW used to persuade an unruly individual to come along with the officer. Use properly it would induce the individual to become peaceful, use improperly you could break the wrist. Law enforcement stopped using in the early 1970s.

early patented Brauer Bros.
Brauer Bros. patented that snap on snap off that went around
the holster in 1928, so it would have protected them until 1945.

Here is a Lawrence Model 27 made for a 4" Combat Magnum (as shown)
and Combat Masterpieces. Don't know if my model 19 could be considered
vintage yet, but it's from the 1970s.
The Lawrence is Sheridan style carved and rawhide laced.
Just the way I like them.

Triple Draw because the holster could be worn upside down on the cotton webbing shoulder harness, strong side draw with the belt loop or upside down cross draw on the belt.

M28 no dash, Fitz Gunfighters, and a Federal Man holster all seem to roll together pretty well.

How about a 2nd Model 44he with a Viking (made in Mexico). Jigged bone stocks, and this holster really set this pairing off.

1928 S&W 1905/4th Change 6" in 38 Special with 1930s Eubanks latigo stitched full flap.
And S&W Model 66 no dash 4" 357 Magnum with early 1970s Akers basketweave (non steel shank). Gun is wearing different "shoes " in the last pic.

Here is a 32 Long Hand Ejector from 1917-20. It is riding in a new copy if the King Ranch holster that preceded the Brill.
Next is a Model 1917 from 1937 in another King Ranch copy.
Third is a Model 625 in a fairly correct copy of the Brill but Sunday Holster.

Tim, that carved and laced Lawrence is a beauty. I'm wondering
what the model number is? Mine is similar but has a strap.
Thanks.

Two more favorites, crusty old Triplelock and a nice 4 digit Centennial, both in Heiser 713s.

I just picked up this Idaho that appears to be from the same era as my pre-model M&P. I cleaned it up and Renwaxed it and there was no vertigris anywhere!
When I put the revolver in it was like re-introducing two old friends.
I think I’ll carry it in camp more often now.

Not as vintage as some, but still a long way off from the Kydex crowd.
Model 58 in a Safariland basket weave holster. This was my hunting and ranch duties carry rig. The 58 has a new life, and I will be carrying a 657 Mountain Gun in this leather from now on.

A SAFARILAND model 18 with a vintage Smith & Wesson model 15-2 38 Special 2" look like a Vintage pair.
Or this Smith & Wesson pre model 10 nickel plated 4" 38 special in this Redhead Spring held Shoulder Holster.
Or this Colt Scout 22 LR Single Action Revolver in this VIKING made in MEXICO Basket Weave size 58 holster.

I recently got this old Hunter courtesy of Crazyphil pointing it out to me.
It’s on one of Turneriver’s belts and the 629-4 is sporting some elk grips from bigmtnman. The S&W is over 25 yrs old...is that vintage yet?
That’s three home runs thanks to this forum!

Those grips look great on that gun and the holster completes the package.
Although "Vintage" typically means 25 yrs, it actually means any time corresponding to a certain year.
A 10 yr old bottle of wine is vintage 2011 for example.
When it comes to firearms, any model or vintage is fine with me!
Even odd combos!
1938/39 Spanish armory Astra model 400, 9x23 (9mm Largo)
Thanks

Good combos there, I'm assuming the extra snaps are just decoration?

A 5 screw, 4" pre 29 with a Lawrence 34 / 532
Not sure who made it or when, but it looks good with this 28 No Dash
A 29 No Dash & Lawrence 34 basket
Enjoy.

Tim-I haven’t seen all of your combos, but this is clearly one of my favorite packages. Love those KB grips. Thanks, Jh

We're talking over 100 years old here - all original except the tie-down strap on the 1913-dated swivel holster. 1911s include Colt, Springfield Armory, Remington-UMC and an A.J. Savage slide rework.

I got this Bucheimer-Clark Constable in a recent lot of 6 holsters
from ebay. It seems to get along well with my Model 67 Combat Masterpiece.
It's B-C's version of the Border Patrol holster. Even
has the sewn-in toe plug. On a Milt Sparks gunbelt.

Tim, should you ever decide to part with that smaller Heiser 713, please, please, please keep me in mind! Thanks.
