Belt recommendation
I need a extra large belt that will fit over my cold weather gear and support the weight of my long barreled 29 and super black 44 mag and hold extra ammunition . Leather preferably but synthetic maybe. Holster is natural leather Bianchi. Steel or synthetic stiffener? Leather thickness? Width? Do a fair amount of walking trying to jump up hogs in the Texas hill country and East Texas piney woods. Any and all thoughts appreciated. Thanks

Assuming you mean extra long, Galco will make their holster belts to custom lengths.

People put too much thought into belts. If you need a special belt to hold your holster, you need a better built holster.

If you buy quality, you don't need stiffeners of any kind. I'd go with 1 3/4 width.

Belt
A 1-3/4 to 2" wide natural belt will secure the holster and gun. I have them for my heavy gun rigs. Always buy quality over price.
Thank you,

Armour belts. Really well made. Formerly Bissell.

Beltman Belts are superior quality. I have one of the shrunken Bison double thick belts. I will never wear it out and whoever I leave it to won’t either. They have different widths.

Belt
As I make belts, it would be great to see peoples belts they have had for a long period, and how they are retaining their shape.
Thank you,
Henry

A set of Perry suspenders will help support the weight.
