Holsters made on my Chinese machine
I received a Chinese leather sewing machine this past Christmas.
I have been teaching my self to use it and make some holsters
at the same time . Lousy teacher and poor student .
So far I made two fully lined holsters one for a six inch
K- frame and one for a Colt Combat Commander.
They are not pretty but they were designed and made by
me so I can not complain.

Congratulations on such projects! Your skill is way ahead of what mine would be, both in design and in execution.
That single action holster looks very attractive. wouldn’t surprise me if others concurred and wanted to send you an order or two.

I like the strap attachment, particularly for the revolver. Not very hard for the end user to change length if necessary

For over a decade just about all of the industrial stitching machines have been produced in China. Makes little difference which trade name appears on the equipment, the basic machine head was probably made in China. I could name a half-dozen brand names that all start out with the same basic Chinese machines with the differences being set-up (work table, framework) and servo motor controls. Some companies do a better job of adapting the available equipment to the tasks required.
Very difficult to source stitching threads from US companies also. South America, Indonesia, probably others, all marketed in the US under familiar trade names.
Reflections from an old hide-pounder.

Got a question for ya. Will one of those inexpensive manual shoe repair machines on Amazon work for holster making? Not looking to do large quantities, just a few for myself plus some repairs. Thanks!

The machine you referred to is the machine I am
Using. $109 delivered. No instructions with
It but lots of information on U- tube.
Needle and thread choice is a big part
Of making it sew.

I like the strap between the frame and hammer on the auto holster. I look at it as a guaranteed safety and won't carry mine cocked without that strap. Larry
