I originially ordered a holster through boomsticks, but canceled when after 6 months I learned they were working on orders given the previous March (2008). I had good luck with Kramer, so I ordered a holster for my HK45C in February. The wait was to be 4-6 weeks. Recently I've learned it won't be until the end of May, if then. My problem is Hk45C's are a new pistol. Have any of you guys out there had the same proplem with holster companies?

With custom holster makers, a long wait is the norm. If they promise 6 weeks, double that and you'll be close. Some makers have a 6 month or more backlog.

My Tucker gunleather was ordered in April of one year and I finally got it in Dec. of that same year. So if you order from a custom maker then you had better as 66TAS has said expect to wait. The length of wait depends on how backed up they are. Even though I waited eight months it was well worth it.

I agree with the wait, but Milt Sparks who IMO does excellent work and has first rate designs, has a very clear policy about deliveries. You will know when you order how many weeks it will take. You can check on the web-site to see how they are doing with your order month. You will have to order the first few days of the month, they fill the months book, then stop taking orders until next month.
Book is closed for May, next order in June, est. 20-26 weeks.
My experience with several holsters is that they will deliver when promised.

I ordered a Cuda holster from Simply Rugged April 26th and received it May 3 (from Wasilla Alaska). It spent more time in transit, than it did to make. I got it for my Glock 30. They say they do HK45's.

The Bulman holster I ordered last August showed up a week or two back... A long wait, but worth it, I think --- it's of superb quality and workmanship. I think you just have to tolerate long waits for quality custom work.

I've always been a big fan of Milt Sparks, they always have long wait times, but that's OK, it's a quality product. I just ordered a holster from MS a week or so ago, they quoted me a 20-26 week delivery time.

I was shocked to see that they are now only accepting new orders the first few days of the months until their monthly quota is filled. Guess they got tired of folks buying their holsters and putting them on ebay to sell for 2X-3X the Sparks price.

I can't say enough good things about the fine
people at Simply Rugged.

I now own four of their fine holsters
and will be ordering a 5th one soon.

Great workmanship and yu don't have to wait forever.

Eric's holsters are second to none and his delivery times have been less than 4 weeks for the 3 holsters and 2 belts I've bought. A real nice guy to do business with.
