For sale, a new in box, unfired S&W 36-1 3" Chief's Special Target, made in 1975. Check page 216 & 217 of the Standard Catalog of S&Ws (3rd edition) for info on this gun (under model 50). 213 of these 3" CSTs were made in 1975, making them rarer than the model 50 (568 made). A total of about 2,136 adjustable sighted model 36s & 50s were made from 1955-1975, but only 213 3" were made in 1975. This one is virtually new in box, no marks on it...100% pristine. Any marks you may see in the pictures are due to my poor photo skills, and/or oil that did not get wiped off fully. Box is in great shape as shown, and has all documentation and the full unopened tool kit with screwdriver (sight adjustment tool). Price is $1,295 shipped to your FFL. Trades considered are post war N frames.
