Looking for newish Colt Night Defender/Agent/Officers model.
Here's a hard to find revolver for trade:
EDIT TO ADD:
A few have asked 'history' etc:
Interarms grew from the mid-50s to become the largest imported gun dealer in the US during some point in the 60s-70s.
Hammerli made the original of this style Dragoon, based rather closely on the Ruger Blackhawk series of the time. Stainless steel and high quality, as most Swiss firearms tend to be.
After the first few years of imported Dragoons, Interarms developed on-site facilities and built these in Virginia. There are some features which identify this as an early-USA made gun.
The "Semper Sic Tyrannis" is one of three banners the company used, which is certainly appropriate for students of history to appreciate.
It has a very low serial # which in my own research leads me to believe this is an early US version, perhaps even "1st year"...although I am not a Virginian authority by any means.
This model has the "Swiss safety" feature which predates the Ruger transfer bar design. This is a special length cylinder pin with an extra notch such that it can be slid backward far enough to block the hammer from completely falling into the firing position. There are 2 stamped dots to identify a particular cylinder for those who wished to use the old "5-carry" safety protocol.
In my part of the country, these are rare to find at all. let alone in this condition. Gun is shooter grade in 90++ condition. Cylinder throats mike at .433 on 5 and .434 on one. Bore is bright & shiny.
The factory box needs cleaning and the lush red liner fabric needs replacing or cleaning. The backing is solid to touch, although I have not taken it apart to examine it.
This 44 mag is a meaty handful. Action is tight and timing is right.
