Okay I'm not looking to spend any more money on firearms for a while and I really want a new carry piece.

So I'm going to let this one go. I am the original owner and it has been out to the range with me twice in the years I've owned it. Other than that it has been locked up tight in my gun safe.

It is a blued 1911 - full size Rock Island Armory. Comes with the original box, manuals, stupid lock, etc.
Very nice shooting and absolutely reliable pistol.

I added:
Hogue rubber wrap around grips (I have the original wood ones as well - see pics)
Wilson adjustable trigger (allen wrench included)
Chip McCormick skeleton trigger
Chip McCormick drop-in beavertail safety

I am also including THREE Chip McCormick shooting star magazines (cost me $25 each) which are 100% flawless in this gun. The stock mag is included but don't waste your time with it.

So that's a flawless 1911 with over $165 in upgrades. I used all "drop in" parts - and they all did drop in. The gun functions perfect but the thumb safety doesn't "click" up... it's a little mushy but works fine. It clicks "off" great... just not on. However the gun functions 100% and is very accurate.

I'd keep it but as I said - I really want a new carry gun

I WANT a Springfield XD 9mm SubCompact - 3" barrel. Night Sights or laser grips would be a bonus.
I would also consider a Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm Compact - again Night Sights or laser grips would be nice.
