For sale for $750 shipped from my FFL to your FFL is this 1975 (IIRC) Colt Cobra that I believe has not been fired since it left the factory. It is a 6 shot revolver with an alloy frame and is smaller and lighter than a S&W Model 12. It is for sale only (no trades please) for a couple days on the S&W and Colt forums before I move it on to Gunbroker. It comes with the styrofoam box, but the sleeve is missing. There is some damage to the top of the box as you can see in one of the pics. Here's the story on this gun: Back in the 1970's most hardware stores also sold guns. This one was bought from a hardware store by a gentleman in Henderson, NC. He kept it until this year, when he put it on consignment at a local gun shop, where I bought it. The original owner claims to have never fired the gun, and I have not fired it, and it looks unfired since it left the factory. The original owner also claims that the hardware store lost the sleeve carton and that he did not get that when gun was purchased.
I have not yet learned how to take good pictures of nickel guns. One pic was taken outside and the gun looks that way all over. On the inside pictures there is lint and oil that distorts the look of the finish. I can find no flaws or handling marks on the gun. There is a faint turnline. You can have a 3 day non-shooting inspection period, but gun must be returned in the same pristine condition it is now. Payment by postal money order only. To purchase you must both email me and post a positive reply proving you are a board member. For sale only to valid board members. I'd be happy to answer any questions. For sale in NC in case you are local. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
. Thanks for looking!
Edited to add: the styrofoam box is just the container it came in, there is no serial number or other marking on the box other than "Colt".
