SOLD PENDING FUNDS
Beautiful high-grade Model 1908 Colt Vest Pocket pistol. The serial number dates to 1929. For being 81 years old, the pistol has retained Colt's famous highly polished royal blue finish and all of the color-casehardening on the safety, trigger and grip safety. Also includes one original two-tone magazine.
Close inspection shows the pistol has been fired, although my bet would be that it has had at most a magazine shot through it in the last eight decades. I have also cycled live rounds through it to make sure it feeds, which it does. The internals are immaculate.
The left side of the slide does show one fingerprint rust spot. The right front of the slide is scratched. There is also some light rust in the slide serrations that could be removed with careful use of oil and some fine steel wool. That said, this rates as a collector's piece. When I traded for this, I thought it was going to be a typical no-finish example. I wanted it as a plinker and a curiosity. For me, this is too nice to shoot.
I am open to trades for CCW-suitable 9mm pistols and CCO and/or officer's size 1911s -- all the better if it's an officer's size 1911 in 9mm. I would really like to keep this in-state.
