I hate to do this but I like your M&P. Would you consider an 1897 Winchester, short barrel, from 1926? This is a cowboy action special, check out the carving in the stock:
hate to let it go because it looks great over the fireplace but I would like to have an M&P 45. I'll pay my FFL and shipping to you, if you'll do the same to me. I am in northern Illinois

Hi, I can not answer this question as the gun is NIB and never been fired. I do not know much about the S&W autos as I am a revolver afficianado not a semiauto afficianado..sorry i could not help

On the right side of the slide, if there is no mag disconnect, it will read something to the effect of "caution - capable of firing with magazine removed." I can't recall at the moment exactly what it says, but that is the jist of it. You can't miss it.

Yes it has the warning on the slide,warning can fire with magazine removed
