I purchased this 340PD new just shy of a year ago, and I have cared for it meticulously. It's been cleaned only with M-Pro7 cleaning solvent to avoid any risk of damage to the coating on the titanium cylinder. I have never used any abrasives on any portion of the finish. The only cleaning tools that I have used are the M-Pro7 plastic "toothbrush" on the surface and a brass brush in the bore. In addition to regular cleaning, I have wiped down the exposed surfaces with M-Pro7 gun oil at least twice a month, whether it went to the range with me or not. It shows no holster wear at all, in part because it hasn't been my primary concealed carry and in part because of the regular oil treatments. I have never fired anything smaller than a 130 grain .38 Special or anything larger than a 158 grain .357 Magnum (and not many of the latter, as you can imagine given the 11.4oz weight of the gun). I love this gun, but...I'm ready for a change.
