Bit of an oddity, with a 6 shot rather than 8 shot cylinder. This from SCS&W 3rd edition- "Model 627-2, 6 shot with unfluted cylinder, Partridge front sight with gold bead, Hogue grip with 6" barrel, yoke cut marked 627-2. New frame design. From Lew Horton Dist., introduced in 2000."
