SOLD
Colt AR is SOLD Preban 6551 Colt Sporter Target HBAR; of interest to NY, NJ, and MA residents. S/N is 0192XX. Receiver has the Colt sear block. Barrel was replaced by me with a new, boresight-inspected and air-gauged Quality Products/Bushmaster 1/9" twist HBAR barrel, 5.56mm chamber, and I installed a handguard fleefloat tube. This was a backup gun to my competition rifle and has a very low round count, 640 rds. I've had it since ~1991-92, no longer shoot competitively, and haven't fired this ST in over 10 years.
This ST HBAR is wicked accurate; using XM193 this rifle shot 5/8" to 3/4" groups at 100 yds, almost ORH size, when I did my part. Shooting match ammo did little to improve group size.
The finish on the upper and lower are a greenish-gray color and match exactly. There is hardly any wear to the finish; no dings or scrapes. Some light brass tracking on the case deflector.
Rifle will ship with a GI M16 two-buckle "silent" sling, and four total used mags –– two (2) Colt 20rd. magazines, and two (2) Simmons or Adventureline 20 rd magazines included (not shown).
Sling mounts to A1-style forward HG retainer brazed to front of HG float tube:
Freefloat HG tube, doubles as a heat shield:
