Marlin 44mag
Would you be interested in a Smith and Wesson Model 629-4 Mountain Gun (4” thin profile barrel) in 44 Rem. Mag.
A fiber optic front sight has been installed, original sight and original box included.
“X” frame grip installed to tame recoil.

I am looking for a 44 mag rifle (I prefer Marlin!), but am wondering about the accuracy of your shorter barrel. Is this shorter barrel accurate and how far out will it accuratly shoot?
Also, where are you located?
Thanks!

I have not shot this particular rifle, but do have another 16 inch barrel 44 mag and have read some posts of their accuracy from some folks on the Marlin site.
My other short barrel carbine has skinner peep sites on it and I would feel comfortable out to 100yds with mine with no scope. With a scope, 150 or whatever you feel comfortable. Remember, the 44 magnum is a handgun round meant to be shot our of 5-8 inch barrels, so even with the short 16 inch barrel, ballistics are great for a handgun round.
I'm in Vero Beach, FL
Thanks,

Chipper in case you did not notice, Gatorbait has not been here for over two months. He and I had agreed on a deal but he never answered my pm.
