I recently scored a S&W M13 3" revolver, so my faithful Taurus M65 2.5" bbl .357/38 special is now available for sale! This is an older Taurus, 6-shots, deep deep blueing, excellent timing and lock-up, looks new, and probably hasn't had more than 100 rounds fired. The grips are what attracted me to her...very sleek, very good to excellent condition, and downright pretty to look at! This revolver was made in the early Taurus way... quality everywhere you look. And it weighs a LOT. Which is a big plus when shooting full load .357s, and makes shooting 38 specials feel like .22's.
I'd prefer F2F in South Carolina, I am in Spartanburg. When I bought it, I was told I was the 2nd owner, and looking at the finish and lack of wear, it would seem to be true. There is literally NO wear to the blueing on the muzzle, no flaming, no speckles in the finish, no scratches. It has the Taurus logo insert in the wood grips. It must be 98% if not 99%. I will try to post some better pics in daylight, but these are the only pics I have right now. Gun is serial numbered MC747XXX
Asking $300 plus $20 shipping costs to continental USA, IF your FFL will accept a gun from a non-FFL. Best I can tell, this is about $100 lower than any on the auction sites, and good luck finding one in 2.5 inch barrel length AND with the rounded butt and slim wood grips! NOTE: there is another M65 on a gun auction site that is identical, but listed as a 3" barrel... and that gun is priced at $425 and has the square butt and larger grips.
