This is a duplicate in my collection that I don't really need. These were only made in 1876 and 1877. They're referred to as 'Baby Russians' because they use the same early rack and pinion ejector. This ejector system was expensive to machine, so they soon switched to the more common later cam style. Condition is better on the right side than the left. The gun is a mix of original nickel and bright metal having been agressively cleaned at some time in its life. It probably spent too much time in a leather holster or case. Mechanically, it is VERY GOOD. The bore has some pitting as expected, but rifling is present and it's definitely shootable. (I've shot it). Lockup is good. When empty there's a bit of fore and aft cylinder play, but once loaded, it's spot on. Half cock and full cock are perfect. Grips are not numbered, but are the correct block letter style only used on the single actions. They are
not reproductions. Serial number is 16257 and appears on all parts (barrel, cylinder, thumb latch, etc). If you're a cowboy action shooter, these are legal to load all 5 cylinders because you can lower the hammer between chambers!
Standard forum rules apply. No FFL needed, but I won't ship to any Kommie states that don't consider this an antique non-gun.
Price: now $400 including shipping.
