Want to Trade or Sell Winchester 101 Diamond Grade 4 barrel skeet set for a single barrel (O/U) Winchester 101 Diamond Grade chambered in .410 Skeet, plus some cash. That must sound crazy.
In the early 1980’s I purchased new a Winchester 101 Diamond Grade Skeet gun in .410 bore. I loved that gun and shot the heck out-of-it … circumstances changed in the 1990’s and I needed the cash, so I sold the Winchester. I have never stopped kicking myself.
Earlier this year, I decided to purchase another Winchester Diamond Grade Skeet gun in .410. As things happen, I stumbled across the 4 barrel set mentioned above. I bought it from a gentleman who stated that he had purchased it brand new in 1985. My excitement at such a find surpassed my good judgment. I never intended to buy a 4 barrel set, just the Win. DG Skeet .410.
I’ve shot the 28 gauge and 20 gauge barrels once. I have not shot the 12 gauge. Both the 20 gauge and 12 gauge have ported barrels. The .410 has already made many successful trips to the Skeet Range. It is a very nice gun, and functions flawlessly.
The single barrel Win. DG Skeet .410 came with a 26 inch barrel (if I remember correctly). The 4 barrel set is 27.5 inches. I prefer, and I shoot better with the shorter barrel and lighter gun. I would like to trade my 4 barrel set for a single barrel Win. 101 DG skeet gun chambered in .410, plus cash.
If I were intending to keep the 4 barrel set, I’d have the Stock refinished to remove some scratches accumulated over time. I have been quoted $295 for the refinishing. The forearm is fine. All the barrels are great with the exception of the 12 gauge barrel which needs a new Front Bead.
I am guessing the value of my 4 barrel set exceeds your single barrel Win. DG by $700 to a $1,000; maybe more.
