**SOLD**22/32 Heavy Frame Target (Bekeart Type)
Also listed on a local board
22/32 Heavy Frame Target (Bekeart Type)
Well used and "customized" by prior owner(s). This is not an original condition "collector" gun. Shipped October 1916.
More info and pics:
There is no serial number on the grip panels. The number would have been penciled on the right panel and I can see no evidence of one. Might have been obliterated when grips were cleaned, or these might be replacements.
Also shown is a small screw hole in the bottom of the left panel. Looks like maybe it was made by a cup hanger. No idea why - maybe to hang it from a nail out in the barn, or a make-shift lanyard ring?
Serial numbers match. Top row (l to r) shows front of grip frame (note the double-stamped star), the barrel flat, and the rear side of the crane. I don't know what that "B" means. Second row (l to r) shows the rear of the cylinder and the left grip frame showing what I assume is a factory rework date of 2/50.
The original cylinder would have been non-recessed, so it is obviously a later upgrade.
Obvious modifications are shown in this pic. First row (l to r).
Hammer bobbed, front sight blade replacement, trigger cross-hatched.
Second row (l) shows that the frame above and behind the trigger was altered, and (r) shows that the rear of the trigger guard was altered on both sides. My guess is that these alterations were to accomodate a shooter with small hands.
Send me your email address for larger pictures and further details.
Price is $475 now $445 shipped and insured from my FFL to your's (except California).
Will consider trade offers for S&W revolvers, a blue mint condition Ruger Security Six (plus or minus cash).
First "I'll take it" in this thread with follow-up PM or email gets it.
Thanks for your interest.

Lorin, you sent me a good description of what was done to it. Pass it on the info to Tjpopkin. Have other purchases right now so I'll pass on this gun (Reg Mag). Larry

Lorin can you tell us more about this 22/32? The hammer is obviously modified. The cylinder appears to have been changed to a recessed cylinder. Was it a factory replacement? Is the gun all numbers matching including the grips? Is there a factory rework on the grip frame and/or is there a star on the grip strap prefixing the serial number?
Thank you,

Original post has been updated. I should have posted this stuff initially, but I was planning to handle it with emails only to those who requested more information.

Lorin,
Thanks very much.
The B on the barrel flat is for "blued".
