As a life long enthusiast, and accidental collector, I have accumulated -- over several decades -- a number of Smith’s that were purchased with shooting in mind but have inadvertently turned into safe queens. I am offering for sale three minty ANIB older S&W revolvers. These have no internal locks, no MIM parts, and the firing pins are on the hammers where they belong. They also have pinned barrels, with beautiful bluing that was characteristic of the era. I've occasionally taken these guns out of the boxes to admired them and the cylinders have been cycled. All three exhibit a very faint cylinder turn line. Other than what was done at the factory, these all remain unfired.
The first “I’ll take it,” followed by a pm, secures the sale pending payment.
(**SOLD**) First is an unfired model 520 New York State Police .357 magnum. The NYSP ordered 3,000 of these around 1980, but S&W was unable to deliver them. They were subsequently marketed to the public as a non-cataloged model. A rare piece, it is the only N-framed .357 that was made with fixed sights. It comes with a 4” pinned barrel, recessed chambers, has a very tight cylinder lockup and first-rate assembly. It comes with the matching box and accompanying paperwork. No tool or cleaning pieces.
$975 with buyer responsible for shipping an insurance costs to their FFL.
(**SOLD**) Next is an unfired S&W model 19-4 2-1/2” barrel .357 magnum, circa 1980 (S/N 78Kxxxx). This K-frame snubbie was a staple with local law enforcement non-uniformed officers. This one has a pinned barrel and recessed chambers with red insert front sight and white outline adjustable rear sight. It has a very tight cylinder lock-up and bluing is very nice with excellent workmanship. These snub-nosed models are well balanced and handle very well. Comes with original box, paperwork and tool/cleaning pieces.
$670 with the buyer responsible for shipping and insurance costs to their FFL.
(**SOLD**)Next is an unfired S&W model 10-7 M&P 5” barrel .38 Special. It’s a sweet gun. I shoot a similar 5” barrel M&P made in 1949. I seldom encounter a 5” model for sale in these parts so I consider it relatively rare. I’ve always had a fondness for the pencil barrel M&P’s and this piece could certainly round out someone’s M&P collection, but it would make a fine shooter as well. It was manufactured in 1979 (S/N 5Dxxxxx), and it has a pinned barrel and fixed sights with a very tight cylinder lock-up and nicely polished bluing. It comes w original box, paperwork and tool/cleaning pieces.
$525 with the buyer responsible for all shipping and insurance costs to their FFL.
