*** Canceled*** For Sale N 3
OK, here's the deal. I have decided to focus on the 29-1 exclusively, so I've got quite a few guns to start thinning out. I will start here on the S&W Forum where many of my guns came from so I thought it only right to offer them here first. If they don't sell here, they are headed to an auction site or dealer. N3 has been shown on the forum numerous times and it has quiet a story behind it, albeit a kind of ugly one. I always felt though it made the gun just that much more interesting and valuable. N3 represents the first Model 29-2 in the N seririal number range. It is flat mint and comes with box, tools and factory letter. Price is $4750 firm, shipped overnight FedEx to your FFL. I will consider any 97%+ 29-1 in trade toward N3. PM me with what you have. First I'll take it followed by PM/email gets what is arguably one of the rarest and most controversial Model 29s to be found.
Regards
Chuck

Back to top with lower price. I will leave this gun on the forum for 1 week and if no movement by then, it will be pulled and put on a gun auction site. N1 and N2 were both Model 28s as N3 should have been if not for the shady insider deal that got it stamped and it became then the first production Model 29-2 in the N serial number range.

After discussing this revolver with some folks whose opinion I respect a great deal, I am lowering the price on this 44 Magnum to $4750 shipped. It would seem I had overpriced it (not too sure how you place a value on something that is such a rarity), and I would like it to find a new home. It is near now just about what I originally gave for it several years ago so I won't lower it again. I will pull it in a few days and offer it elsewhere at the higher price if it doesn't sell here. This one could be a centerpiece in someone's collection.
