Default WITHDRAWN S&W Model 24-3 3" Blue .44 Special

***WITHDRAWN FROM SALE on this site.***

For sale is my S&W Model 24-3 3" Blue .44 Special revolver. I don't know if this is actually one of the Lew Horton guns, but it is just like them. No box, papers or holster--just the gun with the finger-grove wood stocks. I bought this a couple of years ago and have not fired it (but it was likely fired before I got it). It is in Excellent condition. I can provide photos later if needed, but it looks just like all the others. : ) Price is $800 for a local FTF sale in the Washington Puget Sound area (WA CPL or WAC membership only) or $825 plus actual shipping charges to a FFL dealer (shipping will likely run around $60 for a private-party shipper such as myself).

First "I'll take it" takes it. All Federal, State and Local laws apply. Do not commit to buying if you cannot follow-through or legally take possession. Will be happy to answer any questions via the forum, PM or email. Thank you!

I snapped a couple of quick pictures. Very light turn line, but otherwise I don't see any scratched or blemishes in the blue (just a few smears in the light oil coat are visible in the pics).

This post was in reply to a post about the high shipping, which has been removed. I'm leaving it because I think it is still valid.

You're right...that's absolutely nuts. That's not a quote, but an estimate. But it isn't ME charging that. To the best of my knowledge, both FedEx and UPS still require Overnight shipment for handguns and 3 - 4 lb package, even with a discount, runs that much. Only dealers can use the PO, which would be much cheaper for the actual shipping, but then there would be a fee for the dealer, too, which runs $35-50 around here.

Actually, I just did a quick quote from FedEx for a 4lb package from Tacoma, WA to Arlington, TX and it is not just $60 but $83-90!!!!!!!! But again...that's not what I would charge, but what FedEx charges. Pretty much makes shipping a handgun not an option. Sorry.

The seller will still need to pay a FFL dealer fee + have them package it up. I live in the same area as the seller and most FFL dealers charge in the $40+ range or more around Seattle. I actually prefer to send guns that I pack myself so that I can make sure that its packed securely, as well as make sure that the gun is insured correctly when it goes out.

Teddydog..dropped you a PM since you are local..

I've had a couple of inquiries but with no follow-through. Last chance...its going up to an auction site by the end of the day (where I wouldn't be surprised to get more than my asking price here).
