Default FS: Garand M1D Sniper rifle and accessories

For sale is the M1D rifle I picked out from the CMP North Store in 2010. All of the M1D rifles from the Civilian Marksmanship Program are genuine USGI and will come with the certificate of authenticity. I previously offered this rifle for sale as a package with the M84 Scope, Mount, T37 flash hider and leather cheek rest. Now offering the items individually, EXCEPT that I will only sell the accessories AFTER the rifle is sold (or with the rifle). Package price is $2550 shipped.

Please contact me if you are interested and would like to see or know about anything specific. If you want to buy one of the accessories, please let me know right away to “hold” it for you for after the rifle sells.

Rifle: Springfield SN 1,569,851. Metal finish is excellent as likely refinished by the Greeks (is very dark). I do not see any pitting under the finish. MW is right at 1 and TE was tested at 3 by the North Store tech who checked it for me. Barrel date is 2-52. Rifle has a desirable late -77 op-rod. The reason I chose the rifle is the very good ORIGINAL GI stock with SA and boxed RA cartouches. The handguards match color nicely, but do have some non-structural cracks that need to be glued. Action is nice and tight in the wood and the trigger guard assembly locks in tight. Mix of SA, HRA and WRA parts in a WWII trigger housing. I have NOT fired this rifle since I purchased it in June 2010. $1550 shipped (yes, this is what the CMP sells them for, but here you can see exactly what you get)

M84 scope and mount: original GI in good condition. The mount is missing one of the two screws that hold the scope clamp. The scope is in good condition, not rusty or beat up. Optics are clear but with a little of the black interior paint flaking. No major dents or issues with the tube or sun shade. Purchased as a set from an eBay dealer out of the Netherlands. I also acquired a new old stock rubber eyeshade which has not been installed. $900

T37 Flash hider: new old stock in the wrapper, never installed. This is the later 3-prong style (not the cone shaped one). $150 shipped

Leather cheek rest: Fair to good condition and 2-1952 dated, missing the laces. It is somewhat dry and cracked, but is sound and all of the eyelets are sound. $75

All Federal, State and Local laws apply. Rifle must ship to FFL holder (C&R OK). I will pay for ground shipping to the lower 48 ONLY. Please contact me by e-mail as I don't seem to reliable receive notices about new PMs. Thanks!
